Community Guidelines

Last updated: November 2, 2026

What OpenMat is for

OpenMat is for training, for learning from the creators you follow, and for the combat sports community around your gym. Keep it useful and keep it respectful, on the mat and off it.

What is not allowed

  • Harassment, bullying and hate, including targeting someone for who they are
  • Threats and violence outside the sport
  • Sexual content, and anything that sexualizes minors
  • Sharing someone's private information, such as an address, phone number or ID
  • Spam, scams and fake accounts
  • Impersonating another person, gym or brand
  • Selling or posting content you do not own or have permission to share
  • Dangerous training advice presented as safe
  • Selling or promoting illegal goods

Creator and gym rules

  • Paid content must be yours and must match its description.
  • Prices are real. The price you show is the price you charge.
  • Gyms post accurate schedules and prices.

How to report

Use Report on any post, comment, message, profile, gym, event or piece of creator content. Pick the reason that fits best and add a note if it helps. Urgent safety reports reach our staff right away.

If someone is in danger, call your local emergency services first. Reports are not a substitute for emergency help.

What happens

When something breaks these guidelines, we may remove it, warn the person, suspend the account or ban it.

Serious harm, especially to minors, means an immediate ban and may be reported to the authorities. Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright lose access. See Copyright for how takedown notices work.

Appeals

If you think we got it wrong, tell us. Open the Contact page and choose Appeal. We reply by email.
